US Bank is replacing their system with a new trading system. They have two legacy vendor systems that are a system of record - one is the trading system and the other one is used for Accounting for FX. It\'s a monolithic application and thus they are looking to replace the existing systems. This will allow for better data, faster data and the new system will have the ability to get business logic from data and make better trading decisions that will thus grow revenue for US Bank and help mitigate risk • Experience in designing and developing the existing monolithic application to production-ready microservices. • Experience in using reactive programming paradigm promoting an asynchronous, non-blocking, event-driven approach to data processing • Used MyBatis as a persistence framework for the DAO layer to access Oracle 12c and Microsoft SQL Server database. • Integrating the application with RESTful APIs/Web Services to fetch data from the back-end server and parsing the XML, and JSON response. • Designed and developed Restful APIs for different modules in the project as per the requirement. • Experience using Reactive concepts like Flux, Mono to support Asynchronous functionality, and improve performance. • Utilized Java 8 features like Lambda expressions and Stream API for Bulk data operations on Collections which would increase the performance of the Application. • Developed Microservices supporting REST and deployed into cloud environments like Kubernetes. • Wrote complex SQL queries for database models and used databases like Oracle SQL Developer, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres. • Experience with Kibana and Prometheus to watch the application status and track the performance. • Extensively used Spring Batch for Automation Testing which runs every day and validates the results against the API. • Developed unit and integration tests for existing microservices using JUnit, Mockito.
