Oversee the development of plastic, sheet metal, rubber, machining, packing, and other tooled-up components in accordance with project APQP timelines.• Analyze drawings to determine suitable manufacturing processes and assign to appropriate vendors for development.• Conduct cost analysis for new components, manage quotations, negotiate, and finalize product requirements and commercial terms with vendors.• Select suppliers and review specifications to ensure design requirements are met.• Monitor and follow up with suppliers on the development of prototype samples, inspection gauges, and fixtures to meet SOP target dates.• Facilitate the approval process from prototype to pilot production trials.• Collaborate with QA teams to support inspection processes and secure sample approvals.• Conduct process audits with QA teams during HVPT and plan corrective actions for NPD rejections within the initial production phase.• Address quality issues in procured parts and implement rectifications during the development stage.• Manage PPAP documentation and obtain QA department approvals.• Stay updated with the latest ECNs and amendments, and communicate these to vendors.• Proficient in SAP MM Module and knowledgeable in ERP systems.
