About Manoel Manny Fernandes
I\'ve always been driven by curiosity, especially when it comes to understanding how technology operates. My core belief is that true mastery comes from a deep understanding, allowing us to harness its full potential. Equally, I firmly believe that teamwork is the bedrock of success, where each member supports the others in pursuit of a common goal. When a team reaches its full potential, it not only achieves its objectives but also enhances the overall image of the business it serves. This mindset has been instrumental in my journey within the datacenter environment. For the15 years, I was an integral part of a tight-knit three-person team responsible for overseeing nine labs across four datacenters. My in-depth knowledge of the hardware we deployed was crucial in meeting project deadlines and staying within budget.I am now part of a much larger team overseeing a much larger environment, but those core beliefs still stand. They are a crucial part of ensuring success now and in the future. Here are some of the key responsibilities I\'ve handled:1. Deploying and maintaining hardware in our Datacenter/Lab, even when faced with resource constraints like power, cooling, and space.2. Troubleshooting issues across various Linux versions (Red Hat 4, 5, 6, and 7) and SUSE Enterprise Linux.3. Resolving problems in both Windows Desktop environments (Windows XP, Windows 10, and Windows 7) and Windows Server setups (Windows Server Server 2003, and Server 2008). This included addressing hardware issues, sorting out OS configurations, and rectifying network setups.4. Creating and implementing test cases to validate build documentation, ensuring a smooth handover to field services.5. Understanding the unique needs of different teams and efficiently deploying customized testing environments within tight schedules.6. Building templates and deploying virtual machines on the ESXi VMware platform, fine-tuning resource allocation and load balancing.7. Managing daily trouble tickets through Service Now, where I analyzed lab requests/incidents, found effective solutions to minimize downtime, and sometimes acted as a bridge between third-party field service technicians and remote repair management.
