Power systems professional with over 11 years of experience working on smart grid technology in both implementation and consulting capacities. I have an academic as well as an industry level understanding of the opportunities and business benefits of smart grid implementation and can also understand the integration of Information Technology (IT) and Operations Technology (OT) in the utility systems of the future. I have particular interest in and significant understanding of the challenges and the opportunities that will arise with the increased penetration of Distributed generation at the utility network and prosumer levels, as well as specific smart grid technologies such as Demand Response, Vehicle to grid generation facilitated by increased adoption of electric vehicles, grid energy storage, and distribution automation. I am also actively exploring AI and its uses in the utility industry towards optimization and automation.
