Under the guidance of the Senior Director of Cogeneration Plants, has the overall responsibility for management of the operation of the of the RBHS Cogeneration Facility, SSB, ICPH, and RBL boiler plants.• Responsible to keep the Campus equipment in compliance with the DEP air permit requirements.• Assume managerial responsibility in all decision making, procedures, planning, and policy subsets as they impact on projects.• Work with facilities management team with a high degree of communication and collaboration with others and a proactive leadership style to help reinforce the core values of Safety, Reliability, Efficiency, and Responsibility.• Provide guidance and oversight to 24/7 shift operations that operate plants, respond to service calls, on distribution and mechanical equipment located inside and outside plant. • Manage and schedule operators for cooling season to operate and maintain daily operation of the Chilled Water Plant for disruption through the Rutgers campus along with University Hospital, and Essex County Medical Examiner\'s Office• Responsible for 24-7 operation of the RBHS Cogeneration Plant with minimal interruptions. This includes scheduling of operators, preventive maintenance, routine and emergency repairs.• Responsible for the implementation of OSHA/PEOSHA, Life/Fire Safety, University Standards EPA, DEPE and Building Code compliance.

Plant Manager RBHS Cogeneration Plant at Rutgers University Newark. Responsible for 18 MW Cogen Plant, ton Chiller Plant, SSB, RBL, & ICPH boiler plants and distribution systems throughout the Campus, as well as Chillers, Cooling Towers and all Aux equipment throughout the 38 acre urban Campus along with University Hospital & the Essex County Medical Examiner Office. We have a staff of 38 Unionized Engineers, HVAC, Maintenance, pipefitters, welders who operate and monitor the boilers, chillers, and all of the facilities equipment on the entire campus.
