Policy lead for specialty education and training for the GDC.Lead and manage:* revision of the Standards for Education (due 2025)* lead for specialist list assessed application improvements (2020-4)* revision of learning outcomes Safe Practitioner Framework (2023) process and implementation * planning and implementation of the revised dental specialty curricula (2023)* development and implementation of student and registrant engagement strategy (2017 onwards)* upstream initiatives re quality assurance (Shifting the Balance 2017)* continuous improvement of risk based and thematic quality assurance * Student Professionalism and Fitness to Practise Guidance (October 2016)* Education Associate recruitment and training* workforce expansion and transformation discussions. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including NHSE WTE, Higher Education Funding Council for England, NHS Education Scotland, Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency, Health Improvement and Education Wales, Dental Schools, Royal Colleges and Faculties, dental and dental care professional education providers in the UK, the four Chief Dental Officers of the UK, the General Medical Council, the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management, the Care Quality Commission, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Health and Care Professionals Council, General Optical Council, General Pharmaceutical Council, Professional Standards Authority, Federation of European Dental Competent Authorities and Regulators and regulators from other countries including Australia, Japan, South Korea and Malaysia.
