I am a Medical Affairs Strategy Lead with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and 10+ years of cumulative experience in clinical evidence dissemination and preclinical drug development, fostering cross-functional collaboration in industrial and academic pharmaceutical research settings ensuring tactical success. Currently, I am leading franchise medical strategies and tactics for pulmonary hypertension therapies, at United Therapeutics, a mid-sized rare disease biotechnology organization. I also help facilitate strategic partnership with professional medical societies to execute upon shared goals. To foster engagement with the medical community, I led the launch of one of the first pharma social media presences from a US rare disease medical affairs function. In my prior role at MedThink SciCom, a medcomms agency, I was pivotal in developing medical publications and strategic planning. My contributions encompassed diverse therapeutic areas, including oncology, neurology, pain medicine, rare diseases, and infectious diseases, supporting a diverse clientele of 10+ bio-pharmaceutical organizations. My expertise in scientific research and communications is evident through my extensive publications. Over the years, I have coauthored 20 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts on preclinical as well as clinical issues. These publications have been cited in journal articles, demonstrating the impact of my contributions to the global research community. I led a global non-profit team at OncoBites with approximately 100 oncology professionals. We effectively communicated intricate cancer research to non-specialist audiences by transforming complex scientific information into easily understandable formats such as blogs and social media content.🤝 As a Medical Affairs professional, I prioritize empathy in all my relationships and communications and actively foster collaborations to tackle challenging problems. Outside work, I enjoy indulging my explorative and curious side as an avid hiker and naturalist, and like to challenge myself with running.
