ABOUT MANISH VERMA

I am a Software Engineer, Tech Lead and People Manager combining deep technical and commercial experience of over 15 years. I am working in Billing org at AWS building systems to support public and private pricing of all AWS services.Previously at Arm, I built a new group from scratch called Revenue Systems and Analytics (RSA) group which was responsible for:building real-time data pipelines and engines to analyze all revenue streams over $2B/yearbuilding infrastructure to support predictive analytics on all revenues streamsanalyzing the impact of new business model on revenue streamsdefinition, management and governance of enterprise data modelAt Arm, I led the creation of a central commercial engineering and analytics group and scaled the team from 1 member to 20 members, composed of data engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and paralegals in less than 18 months. One of the key software allowed real-time validation of customer reported royalty which has already driven a recovery of $10M+ in lost revenues, and played a key role in supporting due diligence of Arm’s commercial contracts by Nvidia.In my previous roles at Arm, I was the head of a Licensing team managing revenues of more than $150M/year and led negotiation of several strategic licensing deals worth >$50M. Prior to that I was the technical lead of Arm’s compiler team of 30+ engineers before moving into a commercial role. Prior to Arm, Manish worked at Altera (an Intel company) and at a cyber-security start-up.I recently completed MBA with honors from Booth School of Business, University of Chicago. I also hold a PhD (summa-cum-laude) and B.Tech in Computer Science.
