ABOUT MANISH SHARMA
I’m Manish—currently Head of AI and R&D at Exafuse (ThinkIng – Additive Technology GmbH) and a PhD researcher at the Chair of Applied Laser Technology, Ruhr University Bochum. I’ve been working on Laser Metal Deposition since 2018, leveraging AI and advanced process controls to push the boundaries of additive manufacturing. Around early 2019, I dove into Generative AI, and I’ve been captivated ever since by how these models can transform and sometimes even replace traditional skill sets.Academically, I completed my M.Sc. in Lasers and Photonics at Ruhr University Bochum, where I was honored with a faculty award. Beyond that, I’m GATE-qualified, hold a TOEFL iBT score of 112, and speak B1-level German, enough to discuss cutting-edge tech or order a satisfying Bratwurst.
