ABOUT MANISH NAYAR
A dynamic, knowledgeable and passionate cleantech executive that brings together 15 years of venture capital, investment banking, management and manufacturing experience. My fund, OYA Ventures, currently manages a portfolio of companies that operate throughout the solar value chain. We are actively looking for strategic acquisitions, bolt-on opportunities and partnerships and joint ventures that strengthen our value proposition and complement our organic growth in this space. We are also interested in disruptive technologies and products or services that provide a differentiated position in the Cleantech space. In this regard, we make angel and early stage investments. Prior to OYA Ventures, I was with the investment banking group at Merrill Lynch & Co. where I focused on corporate finance, M&A and restructuring of companies in the diversified industrials group. Prior to Merrill, I was CEO of Judricks Enterprises Ltd, a global tier 1 supplier of powertrain and transmission components to the automotive and heavy equipment industries. I hold an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management with majors in Analytical Finance and Strategy as well as a B.E.Sc in Computer Engineering and a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario. I also am a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
