ABOUT MANISHA KUMARI
I am a Research Scholar at CSIR–CIMFR, working on the organo-petrography reactivity of lignite with implications to underground coal gasification (UCG), with a special focus on the Kutch, Saurashtra, and Cambay basins of Western India. My research focuses on understanding the reactivity behavior of lignite and its implications for underground coal gasification (UCG) as an efficient energy conversion technology. Since March 2024, I have also been serving as a Project Associate at CSIR–CIMFR. I have strong technical experience in coal and rock characterization, including: 1. Logging of coal core samples2. Sampling & subsampling of coal and rock3. Proximate & ultimate analysis of coal4. In-situ gas content determination5. Gross calorific value (GCV) measurement6. XRD, XRF, ICP-MS, FTIR, Rock Eval, FE-SEM and TGA analyses7. Surface area analysis & Hardgrove Grindability Index (HGI)8. Petrographic analysis of coal macerals9. Gas Chromatography (GC)
