ABOUT MANISH PANT

I am presently working as Assistant Editor with Business Today magazine of the India Today Group. As part of the role, I actively track Infrastructure, Energy and Macro Economy for the publication. In early 2017, made it to the prestigious ‘Shriram Awards for Excellence in Financial Journalism’ Hall of Fame. In addition, until November last year, I was providing Consultancy to the Munich-based Communications and Network Consulting (CNC). I have also edited the book \'Business Analysis: The Question and Answer Book\' by Sandhya Jane. Strongly bi-lingual, I have more than 20 years\' experience in the field of Media and Communications, including five years as Manager Corporate Communication & PR with Jet Airways in New Delhi. During my years with Jet Airways, I also edited Jet’s very popular in-flight magazine \'Jetwings\'. I have extensively reported for Network 18 channels such as CNBC-Awaaz, CNBC-TV18, CNN-IBN and IBN7, as well as Bloomberg TV India from the country’s business and financial hub Mumbai. My interview with former British Airways CEO, Willie Walsh for Bloomberg TV India was a \"global exclusive\" and was widely reported in both national and international media. During my stint with Coalition, a subsidiary of India’s leading ratings agency, CRISIL as Editor, my key responsibility areas included preparation of high-quality research reports for leading global investment banks, internal communication and training the entire team of in-house analysts in written and verbal communication to enable them to effectively interact with a multi-cultural audience. Other than the above, I have also taught Journalism as Guest Lecturer in Writing at the prestigious KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR), Mumbai, in 2013-14.
