ABOUT MANINDER THIND
I received PhD degree in Air Quality in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle. My doctoral research work was at the intersection of air quality and public health with focus on quantifying air quality metrics and PM2.5-related health impacts from different energy systems – electricity generation, agriculture, and transportation. I have a high proficiency in a novel and emerging air quality model called, “Intervention Model for Air Pollution (InMAP)”. I did statistical data analysis, regression analysis, programming using Python and R, and geospatial analysis as a part of my research projects at UW and NREL. Previously, I graduated with B.Tech in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in 2013 and Master of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in 2015. Besides, I enjoy playing badminton and strength training.
