Lead the geotechnical investigations for underground metro structures including stations, tunnels, shafts, and crossovers.Develop geotechnical factual reports, interpret borehole data, rock mass classifications, and geotechnical design parameters.Coordinate with design consultants, structural teams, and contractors to ensure geotechnical considerations are integrated into designs.Prepare and review method statements for geotechnical works (excavation, support system, dewatering, grouting, etc.).Prepare geological cross-sections and 3D subsoil profiles.Develop instrumentation and monitoring schemes for excavation-induced ground movement and structure settlement.Oversee installation and regular monitoring of geotechnical instruments: inclinometers, piezometers, extensometers, settlement markers, strain gauges, etc.Analyse data trends to identify early warnings and recommend mitigation.Interface with third-party monitoring teams and interpret reports for client or GC presentation.Supervise the performance of excavation methods, shotcreting, rock bolting, and temporary/permanent supports.Approve daily face mapping, geological documentation, and excavation progress records.Develop and supervise grouting strategies (TAM, consolidation, contact, compensation grouting) to control water inflow or improve ground stability.Monitor effectiveness through permeability tests and volume-flow assessments.Attend progress review meetings, provide geotechnical input in design and construction phases.Resolve site issues related to geological conditions and propose corrective measures.
