ABOUT MANIK ABROL
The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment.” – Tony RobbinsThis quote has shaped how I approach everything I do—whether I’m leading global product transformations, mentoring team members, or building early-stage ventures from scratch.Hi, I’m Manik - a product strategist, builder, and proud Ivey MBA grad who’s passionate about creating meaningful, scalable products.I spent nearly a decade at Deloitte, starting out in the trenches writing code and building backend logic to automate U.S. and Canada tax calculations. Over time, I took on more ownership and moved into global product leadership roles—eventually driving the transformation of a legacy tax system into a modern SaaS platform used by over 1 million users across 61 countries. It was one of Deloitte’s most high-impact compliance tools, supporting $1.25B+ in business annually. My role spanned product strategy, user research, stakeholder management, and delivery. I led cross-functional teams across engineering, design, legal, and security, and built data flows that made the product more intuitive and secure. One of the most rewarding parts? Mentoring junior team members and seeing them grow into independent, confident contributors.Alongside Deloitte, I co-founded OneDot1 Technologies and launched TalentClouds, a mobile-first ERP platform for schools in underserved regions. We scaled it to 45+ institutions and helped improve parent engagement and school operations through digitization. I also led the development of a sign language–to–text converter.(yes, it was as cool as it sounds). After nearly 9 years in the field, I pursued an MBA at Ivey to zoom out, sharpen my strategic lens where I focused on Strategy and Financial Management to deepen my understanding of how strong businesses are built and sustained. My venture SyncEd, an edtech platform designed to modernize school operations in Tier 2–4 cities, was offered a spot in the Western Accelerator, a validation that meant a lot to our team and vision.I believe great products solve real-world problems, and the best teams are driven by empathy, creativity, and a bias for action. If you’re building something bold or want to - Let’s connect!
