ABOUT MANI ATAEE

As a Neuromuscular Nurse Practitioner, I specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of patients with complex neuromuscular disorders. Working collaboratively with three neurologists, I provide advanced care for individuals living with conditions such as chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN), myasthenia gravis, and a range of muscular dystrophies including Becker, Duchenne, myotonic dystrophy, facioscapulohumeral dystrophy (FSHD), and oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy (OPMD).My approach is patient-centered and evidence-based, with a strong emphasis on improving quality of life, optimizing treatment plans, and supporting patients and families throughout their journey. With a passion for neuromuscular medicine and a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, I aim to bridge complex care with compassionate practice.Beyond clinical practice, I’m passionate about education and mentorship. I serve as an Adjunct Professor at Western University and a Clinical Instructor for Nurse Practitioner students at both Western and the University of Toronto. I’m dedicated to advancing the next generation of NPs while contributing to the evolving field of neuromuscular medicine through collaboration, education, and compassionate care.In addition to my specialty work, I also practice in a primary care setting, providing holistic care to patients across the lifespan with a wide range of health concerns. My clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventative care, and patient education.
