With the help of a new simulation methodology, the cabinet wall thickness can be measured at each stage of the build process. Early product analysis helps the manufacturing team adjust their process to meet requirements. The trade secret for this is filed.• Engineered a simulation framework for calculating reaction force for harvesting spherical ice with ~ 92% correlation with test data. This has helped to understand the effects of factors like finger length, end profile of finger, pitch between two spheres, material of rod, etc on reaction force in the concept phase before building the prototype. • Coordinated with the plant Verification and Validation (V&V) team to conduct the test for the spherical ice harvesting mechanism. • Pioneered in Opex Six Sigma Green Belt tools like thought map, process map, Design of Experiments (DOE) in routine analysis to to improve the simulation accuracy as well as confidence on simulation results.• Led the continuous improvement (CI) initiative to create a material library, which involved creating a database of all types and classes of material frequently used in analysis and saved 70% of material-defining time in simulation.
