About Manesh Patel
I serve as Chief of the Division of Cardiology and Co-Director of the Heart Center at Duke University. We have over 120 cardiologists working in three Duke Hospitals and many affiliated hospital locations. We also have over 40 of the hardest working cardiology fellows in training. My clinical interests include diagnostic and interventional coronary angiography, peripheral angiography and percutaneous intervention. I am involved in several clinical trials involving patients with cardiovascular disease and in cardiac imaging. I am also a faculty member and investigator at the Duke Clinical Research Institute.I have been on research teams that have published over 400 peer-reviewed articles in high impact journals. We are focused studying therapies for cardiovascular disease across many areas of medicine.Currently, I am leading an effort to redesign the delivery of care for cardiovascular patients in the health system with the specified aim of measuring and providing individualized, patient centered, innovative, and efficient care. We aim to Discover and Deliver Heart Health.
