ABOUT MANDY M. WILLIAMS

Curious, analytical, and focused on helping clients unlock subsurface value.My career began with a love of science and a fascination with how the world is formed, first through paleontology and eventually through geology. For over 20 years, I’ve worked in the Canadian energy sector as a geologist and geoscience leader, helping clients uncover new plays, evaluate assets, and grow production. In 2023, I was named a Fellow of Geoscientists Canada (FGC) in recognition of service and leadership within the profession.I recently completed my Executive MBA at the Haskayne School of Business, graduating in the top three of my class. The experience broadened my leadership perspective and sharpened my focus on strategy, disciplined growth and value creation.Today, I make my expertise available through consulting and fractional geoscience leadership. Recent work has included large-scale subsurface mapping to evaluate upside and identify drilling prospects, drill planning, and preparing technical sales packages to support A&D. I also bring experience in lithium brine assessments and recently worked with a client drilling their first lithium brine well in SE Saskatchewan. I serve on the board of the Alberta Women’s Science Network, contribute to the CEGA Graduate Thesis Award Committee, have supported the Women in APEGA Advisory Group and mentor through the CSEG. How others describe me:Supportive. Strategic. Calm under pressure. A connector who shares knowledge and builds others up. What I’ve learned: Fulfillment doesn’t come from the “exit”, it comes from building with intention. Relationships are the most enduring form of capital. Life is more fun when you’re working with great people. Outside of work:You’ll find me skiing, playing tennis, road biking, or walking. I’m usually reading something interesting, but if it doesn’t capture my attention, it goes back to the library. Life is too short to finish books out of guilt!
