Advise all undergraduate students in the Natural Resources & Environmental Science (NRES) major• Supervise 1 administrative assistant• Lead the NRES Student Ambassador program• Advise students on which classes to take to fulfill their desired plan(s) of study; assist with course registration and schedule revisions • Mentor and coach students in academic success strategies, connect students to resources, and answer general questions regarding Purdue University and college life• Assist students in evaluating and determining their interests and abilities, and help students link those with Purdue\'s majors, minors, concentrations, and certificates• Ensure accurate audits of students\' degree plans while guiding students in navigating policies and procedures• Discuss the NRES program with prospective students and their families during recruitment events• Coordinate recruitment communication efforts with appropriate offices and assist with alumni relations• Serve on a committee to determine which students will earn awards and scholarships• Proofread the NRES curriculum before it is published each year and recommend changes when necessary• Assist in monitoring and managing the major\'s Internet presence; write and post content on our website and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, blog, and LinkedIn)• Act as the program\'s career coordinator by attending meetings, compiling data for the Next Steps Survey, and organizing career related events• Maintain accurate records for use in reporting statistics for the major\'s Annual Report, as well as for the College of Agriculture\'s tracking of data
