ABOUT MANDY HENRY

Born in Edinburgh, Mandy Henry caught the football bug at an early age - her dad took her to her first match at the age of three! She began her broadcasting career working for Radio Forth FM, before making the move into television with Edinburgh Live TV. She started in news and entertainment, but quickly moved into sport, working with all the local football clubs (mainly with Heart of Midlothian FC), but also worked on rugby; golf, and tennis.In she was headhunted by MUTV, and had no hesitation in joining Manchester United. Mandy has had many high points in her time at the channel, but some of her favourite moments are travelling to Bordeaux to interview Eric Cantona; reporting on the club’s pre-season tours, and presenting the build up to Champions League finals. The main highlight was interviewing Sir Alex Ferguson on a weekly basis - always challenging and enjoyable.Mandy has worked on BBC Radio 5Live working alongside Alan Green and DJ Spoony on 606. She also reported from various championship and premier league grounds on both Final Score and on ITV. Along with MUTV, Mandy has been a regular across the BBC bringing the latest sports stories on the BBC News Channel, BBC World and BBC Breakfast on BBC1.Since 2014, Mandy has worked with some of the biggest names in the Premier League as a reporter for Premier League Productions, covering all the clubs in the North West.Sport aside; Mandy\'s other passion is travel. In 2021 Mandy set up Castaway Portugal - a new business venture, which aims to help people discover Portugal\'s hidden gems, and helping them experience what the country has to offer. Also passionate about raising money for charity – Mandy has trekked through the Sahara desert, and endured a tough 9 day trek through the Andes to Machu Picchu.
