About Mandisa Kollie
Hello! My name is Mandisa Kollie and I am a first generation Liberian-American studying Materials Sciences and Engineering 4+1 with a minor in International Relations at Lehigh University. I have a strong interest in defense and intelligence, particularly in analyzing the material properties of weapons and defense systems. I’m also passionate about biomaterials, with a focus on biohazardous threat agents and emerging infectious diseases.Beyond engineering, I’m equally committed to service and leadership. I hold a CDA and love teaching younger students, and I’m a certified EMT providing pre-hospital care to individuals in critical moments. Since entering college, I’ve consistently sought to lead in every community I’ve joined. I currently serve as an EMTVSO for Lehigh University Emergency Medical Services, the Membership Chair of the United Nations Association, and the Vice President of the African Students Association—where I work to uplift and support the greater African community at Lehigh.As a first-generation college student, I’m passionate about helping my peers find meaning and fulfillment in their college experience.
