Within my role I lead a team responsible for OQPC’s business operations, including strategy and planning, strategic projects, governance and reporting, human resource management, financial and facilities management. The position works in cooperation with corporate service units within the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. To achieve these outcomes I am responsible for:• Leading and undertaking a wide range of critical strategic projects aligned to business outcomes and priorities, ensuring that projects and multi-disciplinary project teams are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and methodologies consistent with the achievement of quality project outcomes.• Leading and coordinating OQPC’s planning processes (including strategic, business and risk management planning) and performance reporting processes (including Service Delivery Statements, Estimates Briefs and the Annual Report), ensuring that all levels of planning and performance reporting are fully integrated and support and accurately describe the delivery of services by OQPC.• Providing specialised advice, information and assistance to OQPC senior management on issues arising in OQPC’s business management.• Developing, implementing and leading the team’s activities in relation to the following corporate services areas- Governance- Human resource management- Financial management- Financial processing, asset management and procurement- Facilities management- OQPC’s intranet- General administration.• Managing the work of team members and relationships with corporate service units within the Department of the Premier and Cabinet to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of business management activities.• Providing team members with the appropriate training and development opportunities to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of business management activities.
