About Manda Sanders

Manda Sanders serves as the Vice President of Medicare Advantage Retention at Highmark Inc. In this position, Ms. Sanders is responsible for strategy and program implementation for Medicare member retention in the Senior Markets division of the enterprise. This role demands leadership, strategic planning, organization, collaboration, trust and the ability to produce outcomes. Prior to this role, Ms. Sanders served in a leadership development position as the Chief of Staff to the President of Highmark Inc. In that position she had the opportunity to engage in nearly every aspect of the business. Earlier in her career at Highmark, Ms. Sanders served as the director of health policy in Highmark’s Government Affairs division. In that position she was responsible for analyzing public policy issues that would impact Highmark, prioritizing those issues and identifying strategies to help shape the outcomes. She was also responsible for supporting the Highmark Health President/CEO’s engagement with national trade associations, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and America’s Health Insurance Plans. Ms. Sanders has been with Highmark for twenty years. Prior to Highmark, she worked on the staff of a U.S. Senator in Washington, D.C. as a health policy aid. Ms. Sanders earned her undergraduate degree from Washington and Jefferson College. She also holds a master’s of public policy and management degree, with a specialization in health policy, from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.
