My role involves working across multilateral processes, value chain development, and transition opportunities—supporting decision-makers in designing inclusive, forward-looking pathways toward sustainability. Some of the key areas I focus on include:1- Technical Support in Multilateral Processes: Providing inside-track research, capacity building, and negotiation support for Global South actors in spaces like the and G20 to ensure just transitions are prioritized in global policymaking.2- Value Chain Development & Economic Opportunities: Investigating viable business models and upgrading value chains to ensure that the Global South captures the economic benefits of the transition—beyond just risk mitigation.3- Bridging Policy & Implementation: Engaging in on-the-ground pilot projects through our Living Lab (Do Tank), fostering collaboration between public and private actors to translate just transition policies into action.4- Shifting the Narrative: Moving from a risk-based to an opportunity-driven approach, helping Global South actors leverage economic, political, and social-ecological opportunities in the climate transition.At Southern Transitions, we don’t just think—we do. The intersection of climate policy, trade, and economic transformation is complex, but unlocking just transitions is key to a more inclusive and sustainable future.
