I’m Manav Desai — a driven pre-med student passionate about merging science, service, and social impact. With over 6 semesters of leadership as a President of multiple international organizations in YSU, I’ve built programs that have touched the lives of international students, making Youngstown a more inclusive and welcoming place.I’m also a founder of a city-wide state recognized mental health non profit Life Forward, an initiative helping financially underserved communities access mental health resources. From organizing therapy drives to running social media campaigns, my mission is rooted in empathetic care and accessible wellness.My professional background includes clinical exposure through shadowing an internal medicine physician and volunteering with hospice patients at Traditionas Health — experiences that have deepened my commitment to patient-centered medicine.On campus, I’m an International Orientation Leader, preside over two phenomenal diverse student led cultural groups and Vice President of an academic honor society, and recipient of the Edna K. McDonald Cultural Awareness Award and the AVI Leadership Scholarship (2023 & 2024).
