Next generation digital tomosynthesis X-ray whole body medical scanner. Developed system control and image acquisition software. Developed image processing and filtered back projection software for 3D image reconstruction. Implemented in Nvidia GPU. Compared to CT scanner, this scanner features plug-in portable, small foot-print, low radiation dose, low cost. Initial clinical trial for lung cancer detection with 76 patients showed that the nodule detection sensitivity is comparable to that of the CT\'s. Developed cone beam CT (CBCT) acquisition and control system. Developed, coded, and implemented filtered back projection programs in Nvidia GPU.
