About Manan Hingoo
A creatively inclined individual, I identified my passion for architecture when I conceived innovative buildings using Lego bricks as a child. My father’s proficiency in the profession further kept me inspired to informally explore the field throughout my schooling. Thus, I pursued the Bachelor of Architecture from Rachana Sansad’s Academy of Architecture as the first step towards realising my career aspirations.My final year thesis was awarded an honourable mention in Architecture Thesis of the Year 2022 organised by The Charette Team. Moreover, I have actively engaged in diverse competitions like the Tiny Library, Home: Design Your Dream and CityScraper. My designs were always shortlisted in the top positions. I have also been part of workshops like the Parametric Workshop by Rat [Lab] and Rhino Architecture by Blue Stone Ltd. I got the chance to translate my college learning on to real time situations while I interned at Malik Architecture for a period of 6 months. Working on the practical domain of projects, I secured functional knowledge as a part of the design execution team. While working here, I also gained a foundational knowledge of the requisite interpersonal skills of communication, presentation, and negotiation required to operate in a corporate set – up. As a recent graduate from the esteemed Bartlett School of Architecture with a Master’s in Urban Design, I bring a fresh perspective and a passion for placemaking. Increased computation capabilities have pushed my understanding of architecture as a relationship of objects into a new domain of spatial complexity, materiality, structure and aesthetics, so to create heterogeneous space in an urban fabric. I\'m strong at combining conceptual ideas with advanced visualisation and animation tools such as Rhinoceros, Sketchup, Archicad, Lumion and Adobe sets.
