As an ambitious, curious and engaged business student, I chase after a variety of opportunities that contribute towards my self-development and have a positive impact in the community. I am a fifth-year student, concentrating in Accounting and MIS at SFU’s Beedie School of Business, and intending on pursuing a CPA designation upon graduating in Spring 2020. With a passion for community enhancement, I have demonstrated my leadership through volunteering as a Workshop and External Manager for Count on Me, an Enactus SFU program that imparts knowledge to at-risk youth and teenage mothers about financial literacy, employability and nutritious meal planning skills. I have also served as the Director of Events on a local youth committee for two years. I am further developing my leadership, collaboration and communication skills as a Teaching Assistant for an undergraduate course titled, Foundations of Collaborative Work Environments, driving students towards building successful tactics for their business careers. Alongside my 2.5 years of client service experience gained from working in retail, I am translating my skills into my position of a Director of In-Kind Sponsorship for CaseIt, a premier international MIS-case competition, hosted by the Beedie School of Business. As a proven team player and leader, I display exceptional work ethic in everything I do and I am continuously seeking opportunities to enhance my learning with a diverse range of experiences.
