Mamit Agarwal is a seasoned entrepreneur and visionary leader with roots in a prominent business family in Lucknow, India. With over two decades of diverse experience, he has successfully led ventures across multiple industries, including education consultancy, IT and business consultancy, e-commerce retail, flooring and furnishings, and insurance, operating in both India and the UK. Mamit has been awarded as Rising Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 at House of Commons (UK Parliament) At just 19, Mamit moved to London to pursue higher education, earning a degree from the University of Greenwich. In 2004, he established his first business—a pioneering education consultancy in Lucknow—dedicated to helping students from small towns achieve big dreams. Under his leadership, the consultancy grew into a highly respected firm, guiding thousands of students to realize their aspirations abroad.Between 2004 and 2008, Mamit explored various business ventures, though not all succeeded. These challenges fueled his drive to enhance his entrepreneurial skills. He pursued an MBA from the University of Bradford, after which he launched a business and IT consultancy. His firm empowered traditional businesses to transition into high-tech e-commerce models, capitalizing on the digital boom.In 2013, Mamit ventured into e-commerce with Furnishings UK Ltd, specializing in flooring and furnishing products. Starting with a single website, the company now operates five e-commerce platforms and a thriving wholesale division, a testament to his strategic vision and innovative approach.Beyond business, Mamit is deeply committed to social causes. He actively supports several charities and community initiatives, offering both financial aid and personal involvement. He serves as a trustee of the Bolton Hindu Forum, a 25-year-old charity spearheading community projects. Additionally, he is a founding member of BHF Radio, a leading Indian community radio station in the UK, broadcasting in 15 regional Indian languages.Mamit is also a proud patron of Raktpurak and Gharkul in Mumbai, exemplifying his unwavering dedication to giving back to society.
