About Malvika Verma Miller

Professional Overview: Driven by a passion for life sciences 🧪, I\'m committed to spearheading and accelerating the development and deployment of breakthrough technologies. I excel at uniting diverse teams to tackle healthcare challenges and enhance human well-being. Three Pillars of My Career: Currently, I juggle three fulfilling roles that synergize with each other, all fueled by my deep interest in global health: 1⃣ As a Management Consultant at BCG, I serve a diverse clientele that includes biopharma, synthetic biology companies, and private equity firms. My primary focus is on driving growth and navigating the complex business landscape with them. I am particularly adept at collaborating with R&D and Commercial teams, facilitating a robust connection between research advancements and market application. By leveraging these cross-functional interactions, I aid in accelerating the pathway from scientific discovery to business success. 2⃣ As Co-founder and Director at Solvandria Foundation, our mission is twofold. First, we strive to accelerate research in innovative global health solutions, from inception to human application, through collaborative efforts with leading scientific and medical institutions. Second, we\'re committed to promoting education, training, and development opportunities for those intrigued by and invested in global health research and clinical translation. Our non-profit work is a dynamic avenue for societal contribution and meaningful change in the healthcare landscape. 3⃣ As an academic at MIT, working alongside esteemed pioneers such as Robert Langer and Giovanni Traverso, I am actively involved in translating novel medical drug delivery systems, focusing on the improvement of patient care and the advancement of global health solutions. Educational Background and Experience: My academic journey began at Caltech (B.S.) and continued at MIT (Ph.D.) where I specialized in Biological Engineering. Along the way, I had the privilege to work abroad at Oxford University in the UK, collaborate with researchers and physicians in India as a Tata Fellow, and intern at Flagship Pioneering. These diverse experiences, both geographical and professional, have deeply ingrained in me a holistic perspective of health, shaping my current endeavors and ambitions. Volunteering Opportunity: At Solvandria Foundation (solvandria.org), we\'re always on the lookout for dedicated volunteers to assist with our operations. If you know someone who might be a fit, please feel free to reach out.
