ABOUT MALORIE HEPNER

I am an Associate Principal at OPN Architects, an architecture and interior design firm that has offices in Madison, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Minneapolis, and Iowa City. I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with a Masters of Architecture (2010) and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Architecture with a minor in Urban Design (2009). I love seeing a project from initial conceptual meetings through construction and occupancy. As a part of our Madison studio, I have the resources of a large company behind me, as well as the independence and close connection with my colleagues that a smaller organization has. I have a passion for volunteer and community activities and events in the Madison area. I am actively involved in the Rotary Club of Madison, AIA WI, and Downtown Madison Inc, among other organizations. I am also the chair of the Facilities committee for Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County and am a member of their boards and executive boards.I’m the proud winner of the 2023 Young Architect Award from AIA Wisconsin, a member of the Leadership Greater Madison 30 class (LGM30) for 20••••24, and received the 40 Under 40 award from InBusiness Magazine for 2024.Specialties: construction documents, detail development, design development, site planning, urban design, client relations, networking, and computer rendering
