About Mallory Stevenson
I am currently working as a geologist for a wonderful company, HydroGeoLogic, Inc. My main projects (and passions!) include sediment studies through the Madison County Mines Site, Tri-State Mining District, Big River, and vapor intrusion work around Hill Air Force Base. I have also touched on various other VI, metals, and PFAS projects. I completed my Master of Science in Geology at East Carolina University in 2015. My thesis topic was on the stratigraphy and petroleum geology of the Middle-Devonian Marcellus Shale in West Virginia. I received my B.S. in Geology from the University of Kansas in 2013. From 2016 to 2018, I was an Environmental Assessment Specialist - Project Manager at the Illinois State Geologic Survey. Later, I was in charge of the Dissolved Oxygen continuous monitoring project for the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency at the Illinois State Water Survey. I thrive in challenging positions that help improve the environment and include fieldwork - nothing beats getting outside and moving during the work day!
