Performs routine and complex echocardiographic examinations integrating all imaging modalities necessary to obtain pertinent patient data. This includes inpatient and outpatient adult, adult congenital, pediatric, exercise & dobutamine stress tests, and intraprocedural guidance.Reviews patient medical history and supporting clinical information to ensure the appropriate imaging techniques will be utilized.Functions independently with minimal supervision while using independent judgement to ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are accurately captured in the echocardiographic examination images.Documents patient data and echo exam information utilizing the Echo Information Management System.Creates a complete and accurate preliminary report to assist Physicians in diagnosis of the patient condition and evaluation of symptoms. Collaborates with Advanced Clinical Sonographers, Physicians, and other team members to assist in interpretation of echocardiographic findings.Assists in the orientation and training of all levels of trainees assigned to the Echocardiography laboratory.Expectations extend to include on-call practices, weekends, evenings, and holiday coverage as needed.
