ABOUT MALLORY GOLSKI

As a grammar nerd and pun enthusiast whose camera never leaves her side, I’m passionate about producing creative video and written pieces for social media and other digital platforms. I’m a swim coach, an avid reader, lover of the outdoors and a steadfast challenger of injustices. My interest in government began in the second grade when I learned that the United States had never had a female president, and my investment in combining my creative passions and leadership to evoke social change ignited in the fall of 2018 when I co-organized It\'s On Us, Bobcats: A rally and march to promote student accountability and to shut down acts of sexual violence on Ohio University\'s campus. The event drew more than 500 students, faculty, and Athens-area community members, as well as the attention of the national media. Community organizing through coalition building and collaboration has remained a natural extension of my lifelong ability to strike up a meaningful conversation with everyone I meet.My eye for adventure is always 20/20. I\'ve rappelled down a 5-story building, had my palms read by a stranger and made pizzas in a high school cafeteria, all in search of a story. I’ve written creative profiles for company newsletters, countless press releases, evocative op-eds and effective statements in response to breaking news events. I am a curious interviewer, a reliable editor and a firm believer that storytelling has the power to cultivate empathy and inspire lasting and meaningful change.
