About Mallikarjun Karadge

My primary research interests are processing-microstructure-property relationships in advanced metallic materials (such as nickel-base superalloys, titanium alloys, intermetallics, high entropy alloys etc.) with an emphasis on developing mechanistic understanding of phase transformations and plastic deformation using state-of-the-art characterization methodologies. I utilize techniques such as TEM, nano-tomography, SEM-FIB-EBSD, synchrotron and neutron diffraction to investigate structures across various length scales down to atomic resolution. My current work contributes to the development of cutting-edge materials and processes for applications in the aerospace industry. I have been active in this technology space since last 15 years and have published more than 50 articles in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
