As a Scaffold Design Engineer, I manage the full lifecycle of complex scaffolding projects across a wide range of environments, including railway infrastructure (TFL and LU), naval ship maintenance at HMNB Portsmouth, high-rise buildings across London, and sensitive historical and heritage sites requiring bespoke, non-intrusive design solutions.My expertise spans both traditional Tube & Fitting and modern system scaffolds, including Layher, HAKI, Futuro, and Matrix. I produce detailed 2D and 3D scaffold designs using advanced CAD software, tailored precisely to each site\'s unique challenges. I carry out thorough structural analysis and stability assessments to account for wind loads, imposed loads, and site-specific risks—ensuring all designs are safe, compliant, and fully aligned with the Scaffolding Design and Operational Guides.I have a strong focus on temporary roof structures, protection platforms, and complex access scaffolds, especially on projects where preservation and precision are critical. I also conduct CAT design checks to validate third-party scaffolding solutions.From client meetings and site surveys through to technical delivery and stakeholder coordination, I maintain complete ownership of the design process—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with a strong emphasis on commercial value and buildability.I collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders, translating technical requirements into practical, safe, and efficient scaffold designs. I’m also actively working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status to advance my professional development and industry contribution.
