ABOUT SUGANDHA MALIK

As 10 years old I\'ve asked myself a serious question “What am I here for?” wrote down in my notebook “to help, to make world a better place”. Since then I have found myself in search for space & opportunities to express myself, to make a difference and challenging myself to discover new dimensions within my endlessness.(Fun fact even after 30 years I still ask myself the same question every now and then and almost land on the same answer)Beside thought-provoking questions, exploring ideas, learning, solving problems, connecting dots, finding patterns in abstract and sharing my experiences is what excites me most.One thing I have noticed about my brain is, it can hold multitude of concepts, many a times conflicting and contradicting ideas in perfect harmony and that is expressed in my diverse interests from science to philosophy, engineering to art, equations to poetry, meditation to dance. I see a pattern emerging now, my background in science, Bachelors in Engineering as well in Indian Classic Dance, my first job as a Thermodynamics lecturer capturing minds and winning hearts of my students, publishing collection of poetry in my twenties, moving to new country, learning German, earning Masters in Process Engineering while taking care of my teething toddler, trying Shell Oils as Engineer only to find out I prefer working with people more than machines.Pivot to Marketing, learn more and more from Event management to Project management to Customer Advocacy to Analytics to Operations and finally landing in a role which feels like convergence point, leader of Strategy & Ops team that I have built ground up and most proud achievement of my career so far. I see myself mare as a catalyst that kindle the fire & passion in minds and hearts, brining best out of individuals through coaching that´s why I love my job. I am pretty sure my job loves me back as at work I am known as someone who puts out fires, bring solutions forward, optimiser, true advisor and someone who sees the big picture and who just wants to help. As believer of work-life integration, my qualities permeate, my friends too come to me for advice and I am known as creative, fun, a friend you can lean on and who asks weird questions at 3AM “what do you think why are we here?\" I flourish & grow where I can live my values of integrity, courage, and kindness, in return I bloom with my completeness to fill that place with my unique fragrance of being that stimulate & transfer into everyone you touch and this is how I believe I am making difference.
