ABOUT MALIKA DCUNHA
An ambitious and bubbly Third Year Bachelors of Management Studies student at St. Xaviers College, Mumbai, Malika has a passion for research and writing. Having completed both her ICSE (10th std) and ISC (12th std) from The Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai, she topped Psychology with 100/100. She was chosen as Captain for the Academic year 2022-23 out of a batch of over 160 students. Malika has directed a play on racism as well as headed various competitions. Being the Captain gave her the opportunity to interact with teachers, peers and juniors on an academic as well as personal level. This position brought out leadership qualities in her as well as taught her the importance of team work and team spirit, giving her a holistic approach towards all matters. Currently preparing for her LTCL Diploma exam, Malika started learning the Piano at the age of 5, and is an Associate of the Royal College of Music, London (ARSM Diploma). She has also finished her Grade 8 from Trinity College of Music, London with 94/100. She regularly performs at various competitions and concerts at the National Centre of Performing Arts (NCPA). Malika participated in the International Youth Political Essay Competition, and was ranked in the top 6 internationally. The judges included the former President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, Homayra Sellier, Christine Ockrent and Dr David Schulman. The topic of the essay was \'Rape\'. She received extensive press coverage nationally and internationally.At St. Xaviers College, Malika is fortunate to interact with people from all different cultures, traditions and backgrounds and she has a flair to connect with people. Malika is happy to connect with you and start her journey at St. Xaviers, Mumbai as a third generation Xavierite:))
