About Malia Johnson
I love music and solving mysteries. From all different kinds of music to all different kinds of mysteries from Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie to legal mysteries (Law & Order, NCIS, Suits, CSI, etc.), I love the intrigue of complex problem that has a hidden element to be sorted or found. I enjoy the mystery of sorting out piles of paper (or digital files) to make a clear path of understanding. I currently work in the legal department at Amazon and I am enjoying working with the stores. Its a new world of business for me, but I enjoy learning so it is a great place for me.I spent the last few years working at Microsoft sorting out the mysteries of Music and Media licensing, not only deciphering agreements but also negotiating interesting licensing deals for several different business groups and projects within Microsoft.Life is too short to not find joy where you are, and to me, there is complete joy in diving into the weeds of a problem (or project) and sorting it out. Finding a way for a project to work smoothly to complete its goals, in a positive and beneficial way for all is very important for me. It\'s not a win/win deal, but a win/win working relationship, built on true friendship and relationship, not just business and numbers.
