I co-founded BXTAccelyon (BXTA) in April 2013 as a new uro-oncology company aiming to become one of the leading partners to hospitals and clinics worldwide in providing Low Dose Rate Brachytherapy and associated products and services to diagnose and treat early and intermediate stage prostate cancer. I am supporting the CEO in implementing a strategy to expand the product portfolio and extend our geographic footprint with investment sponsorship from Elysian Capital. Since commencing sales, BXTA has built a strong reputation for product quality and service across its international territories, with market leading positions secured in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. BXTA has also been the driver of the switch from transrectal biopsies to transperineal procedures under local anaesthetic which almost eliminates all infection risk and improves cancer detection. Over 90% of the prostate biopsies carried out in the UK annually are now done this way as a result of BXTA\'s introduction of a new biopsy device and a comprehensive training and technical support programme.
