ABOUT MALCOLM GOUGH
I have been in the Plant & Tool Hire Industry since 1986. I started at the bottom of the ladder and have worked my way up to National Sales Manager; I have held my present position since November 2007. I value teamwork, developing the right team for the job is critical, I believe all teams should have a strong leader, I am a strong leader and value that I am only as good as my team. People make a business succeed; it has always been my goal to succeed. Upon accepting the role as Depot Manager with Anvil Plant Hire in 1996 turnover and profits trebled growing the businesses Tool Hire operation as well as sales. This put me in a very strong position to accept the role of Central Buyer in 2001. My targets for this role were to reduce cost and maintain the high level of products available, Stock control & Marketing whilst maintaining a good working relationship with our Suppliers & Five Depots. All of my targets where met by mid 2002, I received a letter of recognition commending my work in December 2002. I joined my current employer H.E. Services (Plant Hire) Ltd in 2004 as Operations Manager being promoted to Depot Manager in 2005 running a very successful Plant Hire & Haulage depot serving customers throughout the UK. I have been in my current role as National Sales Manager since November 2007 running a National Hire Centre & overlooking 12 Depots nationwide maintaining a portfolio of customers with a turnover in excess 20 million p/a.
