Over 38 years of leadership experience in both the U.S. Army and business. Currently serves as a public, private, and non-profit corporate and government board member, strategic advisor, corporate leadership development faculty member, keynote speaker, and executive consultant. While in the Army, served as a career Infantryman, commanding and leading soldiers at every level from Lieutenant to 2-star General. Provided large-scale strategic and operational leadership and oversight of units in the Indo-Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Europe, and the United States - successfully leading the evolution of soldier training programs in peace and war.Led the Army’s initial entry training enterprise that annually transformed 130K civilians into soldiers. As the Army’s Director of Public Affairs, developed and led all strategic communications plans, roll-outs, and national media relations initiatives for the Army. Led the Army\'s fitness revolution including the first new physical fitness in over 40 years. Deployed to combat several times in leadership and command positions in Bosnia-Hercegovina, Iraq, and Afghanistan between 19••••11.    Serves as a course instructor for the Higher Echelon Military Flag and General Officer Transition courses, specifically for the United States Army and United States Navy including Army and Marine General Officers, Navy and Coast Guard Flag Officers, and select Senior Executive Service civilians.Provides a strategic overview and lessons learned transitioning from senior level military service into the business world. Emphasis is on how to set up an LLC, a self-employment business, and serve as a consultant, advisor, and board member. Additionally, provides details and techniques on how transitioning senior military executives should value themselves, rates they should charge, and the various methods of corporate compensation. Also walks these executives through how to set up their LLC and business step-by-step. Additionally, emphasizes techniques for negotiating, contract drafting, networking, branding, and the back-end finance, accounting, insurance, and tax aspects of self-employed business. Lastly, serves as a mentor and information resource for numerous military Flag and General Officers and junior officers assisting and supporting them through their transition journey.
