About Malavika Mukherjee

I believe that each individual, group, and family has a story to narrate - as long as they are provided with a space that\'s receptive and safe enough to aid that process. As a therapist, it is my aim to extend such a space to as many individuals, groups, couples, and families as possible. This aligns with my larger aim as a professional which is to promote and maintain a semblance of peace, balance, and health in different intersections of society and across the developmental spectrum of a person\'s life. An ardent believer in the process of learning and unlearning, I am always on a quest to know the human mind, and the vast subject of psychology better. To that effect, I am currently undergoing training in a variety of specialisations within the field of Counselling Psychology, and am in active practice with a wide range of clientele. Inner work with me follows a person-centred and depth focused approach. The space I provide for the same is Trauma-informed, Queer-affirmative, Intersectional, and Caste-aware. I additionally attempt to use culture-fair and multiculturally sensitive and universally applicable therapies such as Narrative Therapy, Expressive Arts-Based Therapies, and Emotion-Focused Therapies.
