About Malav Vora

Malav has experience working on Analytics and Strategy domains in the Banking industry. He has experience in working with statistical tools like Python, SQL, R, PowerBI, SAS and Advanced Excel.As a part of his current role, Malav is working with the Fraud Strategy team at Citi Bank. He is responsible for devising and developing strategies for fraud prevention. He has previously worked for Wells Fargo where he built statistical models to help the organization make better-informed marketing decisions.He has completed his MBA from IIM Udaipur with majors in Business Analytics and Marketing. He has worked on projects in the area of Predictive Analytics, Text Mining, Marketing Analytics, Market Research and Business Forecasting. Malav pursued his summer internship at Sesa Care in the Analytics domain where he conceptualized the MROI framework and created a dashboard using PowerBI integrated with R that shows existing trends and predicts the sales for the upcoming periods taking into account the marketing activities of Sesa and its competitors.During his MBA, he lead a group of 24 students as a part of the Analytics and IT club of the institute.He also led a team of 15 students during his stint as the Sponsorship Vertical Head, Solaris, the Annual Management Festival of IIM Udaipur.His team was adjudged as the National winner of The Blurb - Ad Making and Live Pitch Competition conducted by the IIM Ahmedabad. He came second in Flipkart EDGE - summer internship evaluation at IIM Udaipur. His team was also the finalist of the 6 Degrees Hackathon, an analytics-based case study competition, organized by IIM Trichy. His team was one of the finalists of MarkIIT, a marketing event organized by the Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras.Before joining IIM Udaipur, Malav worked at NiviData Consultancy as a Software Engineer for 11 months. He worked as a back-end developer on Python/Django at NiviData Consultancy. He has worked on the website development of a career guidance website and a crypto-currency trading platform. Malav completed his B. Tech. in Information and Communication Technology from the School of Engineering and Applied Science, Ahmedabad University specializing in Machine Learning and Internet of Things.
