About Malana Johnson
Since my conception, I have never been considered an individual. Being an identical twin makes it hard for people to correctly identify you. Besides my immediate family, no one really learned my name until I started school, and even then I was only referred to as twin.Being a twin had two major advantages, the first is it became natural and easy for me to be sociable with individuals. This has allowed me to work exceptionally well in teams because I grew up sharing my life with my twin. The next is being a twin allowed me to form my own identity and be very confident in my abilities and skills that set us apart.I am an adventurous extrovert who loves challenges and trying new things. I see myself as an individual who loves to enter new spaces where I can challenge the traditional way of communicating or reaching audiences. Having work experience in the Department of Justice, several public relations firms, and on Capitol Hill with senators and representatives, I have seen firsthand how important communication truly is. I am currently a second-year student at UNC at Chapel Hill pursuing a Masters in Strategic Communication. Upon graduation, I want to take the role of diversifying companies\' communication capabilities to truly reach all people beyond their target audiences.
