I\'m a people person that loves finding out what makes people tick and discovering why things are the way they are. I enjoy learning about the intricate policies, interactions, and personalities that define organizations of all types. A knack of mine is finding information and using what I\'ve learned to advance the goals of the organizations I work for. I\'m always striving to learn more about the world around me while trying to help improve the communities I call home. With my background in journalism and public administration I feel very comfortable communicating with audiences large and small as well as diving into complex projects which involve multiple departments and disciplines.

1. Transportation Planner Ii

   As a Transportation Planner and member of SRF\'s Funding & Grants Team, I research and apply for regional and national grant opportunities on behalf of local, state, and tribal governments. To accomplish this task I gather and analyze a variety of data, including demographic information, information on existing conditions, and project information to understand the feasibility of competitive grant applications for our clients. I then prepare grant applications and supporting documents based on the requirements of the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to submit the applications in an efficient and timely manner. To date I have successfully assisted our clients in obtaining more than $1.2 million in transportation and infrastructure grant funding. I\'ve participated as either a lead or support grant writer for several IIJA grant programs, including RAISE, MPDG (Mega, INFRA, Rural), and PROTECT for clients in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
