About Makya Lucky
As a Senior, Biochemistry student at Spelman College, I aspire to provide a new perspective in the STEM world and break boundaries as a Black woman. I am a Spelman Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Scholar, and actively volunteer as a member of the Spelman MASTERS initiative to educate the local community youth on the importance of STEM education and serve as a light and a mentor. I have a strong passion for healthcare, wellness, and research that I hope to utilize in order to combat racial disparities and inequity.
