ABOUT MAKKY KAYLOR

Makky Kaylor is a professional songwriter, recording artist and entertainer featured this past year on various networks including The Family Channel, Country Network, RFD-TV, Heartland and more. Makky began his career as a youngster in Memphis writing songs and fronting his own band on Beale Street and all around the Memphis area. At age 18 he also began his session singing career. At age 25 Makky moved to Nashville where his songs were first published by Willie Nelson and Hank Cochran’s publishing company. Makky was a staff songwriter for various Music Row publishers through the years including Acuff-Rose, Warner Brothers, Talbot Music and Larry Gatlin’s company and has had many of his songs recorded by an array of artists in a variety of genres. He now owns his own music publishing company housed in Rory Feek’s RedKing Productions in downtown Columbia. One of Makky’s songs was just featured this past Christmas night on the Grand Ole Opry. As an A-list session singer, Makky has sung hundreds of Music Row demos for many Hall of Fame songwriters through the years as well as many commercial jingles and literally wrote the book on session singing with his “Confessions of a Session Singer” published by Hal Leonard Publishing. Currently, Makky writes, records and performs with his original southern soul band. He just finished his newest album “Back To The River” which is available on all major digital distribution sites and will be performing at several prestigious venues across the U.S.
