About Makiah Eustice

I am an aerospace engineer focused on advancing human spaceflight systems through a combination of technical rigor and operational perspective. My work sits at the intersection of testing, materials, and mission execution—where system performance is not just designed, but proven. My background includes flight test engineering, where I have supported the planning and execution of aircraft modification and test programs, as well as graduate-level work in materials engineering, strengthening my understanding of structural behavior, fatigue, and real-world performance limits. I approach engineering problems with a systems mindset, ensuring that design, test, and operations remain tightly integrated. What differentiates my experience is direct exposure to human spaceflight environments. Through space analog missions and parabolic flight, I have operated in conditions that simulate the constraints of space—informing how I think about reliability, human factors, and mission success beyond the lab or test stand. I am seeking to contribute to teams developing and operating space systems by bridging disciplines—supporting efforts in integration and test, structures and materials, and space operations. My goal is to help deliver systems that are not only technically sound, but mission-ready for human spaceflight. Core interests: Human spaceflight systems, integration & test, structural and materials engineering, space operations, and mission readiness
